Leading International Law Firm Gleiss Lutz Selects Interwoven to Enhance Client Service and Drive Greater Firm-Wide Efficiencies and Collaboration
Legal Firm Replaces Existing System with Interwoven Matter-Centric Collaboration Solution
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – August 28, 2006 – Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, today announced that Gleiss Lutz, an internationally renowned law firm based in Germany, has selected the Interwoven Matter-Centric Collaboration Solution. With more than 220 lawyers located in offices throughout Europe, Gleiss Lutz will use Interwoven to enable its geographically-dispersed lawyers and staff to more easily share client-related content and collaborate on cross-border cases, including international arbitration proceedings and trials.
After evaluating a number of solutions, Gleiss Lutz selected Interwoven because it offers the most comprehensive document and e-mail management capabilities to streamline efficiencies and promote content sharing across the entire firm. Interwoven also provides award-winning ease-of-use, which will enable more rapid and seamless adoption. Interwoven will team with r.o.w. Consulting GmbH & Co., a German-based consulting firm that specializes in document management project service and support for legal firms, and a key Interwoven implementation partner.
With Interwoven in place, Gleiss Lutz lawyers and staff — regardless of geographical location — will be able to easily store, manage, and access complete project and client-related content files, including documents, scanned image files, e-mails, and e-mail attachments in a secure and centralized Web-based repository. The end result will be more rapid content access for enhanced client service and greater overall productivity.
“The legal field is highly competitive, making it critically important that firms invest in the right solutions to improve efficiency,” said Marc Geiger, document management project manager, Gleiss Lutz. “After extensively reviewing a number of document management and collaboration solutions, it was clear that Interwoven was the only vendor that fully understood and could meet our firm's complex content management needs. Our decision was further supported by the fact that both our partners — Herbert Smith and Stibbe — are already successfully using Interwoven solutions.”
“We are proud to have been chosen by Gleiss Lutz and to be a part of its information management strategy. As the volume of content that law firms manage continues to increase, lawyers need a fast, reliable way to stay organized and to find and share client and project-related information,” said Neil Araujo, vice president, legal and professional services solutions, Interwoven. “By providing a single point of access to all content regarding a client or matter in an intuitive, user-friendly environment, the Interwoven Matter-Centric Collaboration Solution provides a foundation for improved collaboration, productivity, and client service for even the largest and most diverse practices, such as Gleiss Lutz.”
