Companies to Present "SOA: Hype vs. Reality," Including Case Study Examples Illustrating the Efficiency and Cost Benefits of Enterprise Content Management Solutions When Built on an SOA

(Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management solutions, today announced that David Butler, vice president of marketing at Systinet, and Charles Hough, vice president of platform marketing at Interwoven, will present a session at the 2005 AIIM Conference on May 17th in Philadelphia, PA, entitled "SOA: Hype vs. Reality". The joint presentation will explore current trends that are driving the adoption of service-oriented architectures (SOAs) within the context of Enterprise Content Management (ECM), specific ways in which SOAs are evolving, and obstacles to implementing SOAs. The presenters will discuss how companies are streamlining processes and cutting costs by building ECM solutions and services on an SOA.

AIIM 2005 is the largest enterprise content and document management conference and exposition showcasing the technologies that provide intelligence behind information. The conference will include more than 70 sessions addressing new technologies, implementation case studies, regulatory and compliance issues, best practices, and recommendations.

What: Mr. Butler and Mr. Hough will present a session entitled "SOA: Hype vs. Reality" as part of the conference's "Hot Topics and Cool Technologies" track. The session will address how content management solutions and services built on SOA architecture facilitate easier content creation, collaboration, and tagging, and enable users to develop, deploy, and integrate content across a wide range of applications, from intranets and internal portals to public Websites. In addition, the presenters will discuss how XML and SOAs enable developers to rapidly bring content and applications to the very thin client and integrate content management into packaged applications such as portals, CRM, ERP, and any custom applications.

The presenters will share specific examples and case studies to illustrate ways in which Systinet and Interwoven are helping companies to adopt XML and Web services to solve content management challenges, drive productivity improvements, and ensure real-time delivery of relevant content.
