Interwoven WorkSite Recognized for its Industry-Leading Usability, Established Market Success, and Proven Customer Value

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - September 20, 2005 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, today announced that the Interwoven WorkSite document management system has been recognized on KMWorld's list of 'Trend-Setting Products' for 2005. This is the second consecutive year that Interwoven has been recognized as a technology trend setter by the publication. The prestigious annual list features products that have demonstrated superior usability, strong market adoption, and provide measurable value to customers. Interwoven WorkSite is recognized in the September 2005 issue of KMWorld.

Interwoven's recognition by KMWorld follows closely on the heels of Interwoven WorkSite being named the top document management system by the readers of Law Office Computing magazine in its 11th Annual Readers' Choice Awards ("Interwoven Document Management Wins Prestigious Readers Choice Award for Second Consecutive Year," August 23, 2005). Interwoven WorkSite received the award for being the most widely adopted and recognized document management offering within the industry today, and was featured in the August/September 2005 issue of Law Office Computing.

"We recognized Interwoven's WorkSite document management system as a technology trend setter because of its exemplary usability, established success in the market, and the clear value it provides to customers," said Hugh McKellar, editor-in-chief of KMWorld. "KMWorld takes great pride in recognizing the companies that are truly having an impact within the technology industry, and we congratulate Interwoven on helping to establish a high standard by which document management systems should be measured across the industry."

Currently, over 1,500 enterprises and professional services firms worldwide rely on Interwoven document management to: streamline processes around document creation, collaboration and archival; increase information compliance through integrated document, e-mail and records management; improve operational efficiencies across the organization; and facilitate greater productivity.

"As we looked at document management systems, we looked at where the vendor would take us in the future and where their technology was heading-Interwoven is using technology and document management beyond the typical scope," said Doug Caddell, CIO, Foley & Lardner.

"Looking at our vision and our strategy, we felt Interwoven WorkSite would be a strong partner, core application, and core vendor for us. WorkSite worked right out of the box and the system is paying for itself just in terms of increased productivity."

Interwoven's continued document management technology leadership has been fueled by the company's ongoing innovation including integrated records management delivered through Interwoven WorkSite and the company's newly announced Interwoven Records Manager 5.0 product ("Interwoven Introduces Records Manager 5.0 for Professional Services Firms, Delivering the First Solution for End-to-End RM within an Engagement/Matter-Centric Environment," September 19, 2005). Interwoven IRM 5.0 seamlessly integrates with Interwoven WorkSite, providing customers with the most complete and scalable approach to end-to-end records management.

"For companies to truly realize the benefits of a document management system, it has to be intuitive and easy to use so that everyone across an organization will incorporate it into how they already work," said Neil Araujo, vice president, professional services solutions, Interwoven. "Being recognized by KMWorld as a document management trend setter further validates that Interwoven is enabling companies to address this challenge, and achieve their document management objectives from one end of the organization to the other."

Companies recognized by KMWorld on this year's list were chosen from more than 200 vendors representing over 1,200 technology offerings.
