Alignment of Interwoven and Microsoft ECM Strategies Benefits ECM Buyers

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - September 14, 2005 - Building on the successful long-term relationship between Interwoven and Microsoft, including widely-implemented Interwoven solutions integrated with Microsoft Office 2003 editions, Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and SharePoint Products and Technologies, Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, announced that today's Microsoft Office "12" ECM capabilities announcement reinforces the alignment of ECM strategies between the two companies. Interwoven's strategy to deliver deep domain expertise ECM solutions built on industry standard platforms includes embracing Office "12" content management capabilities.

In May of this year Interwoven and Microsoft jointly announced a go-to-market plan focused on the Professional Services industry.
