(Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, today announced that it is making it even easier for developers to create and deploy content-rich, platform independent ECM solutions for business through the availability of Web Services via the Interwoven Developer Network, DevNet. As part of its ongoing commitment to open architecture and open standards, Interwoven is now providing its extensive developer network with Web Services Description Language (WSDL) for the company's widely-adopted Digital Asset Management, Web Content Management and Content Provisioning solutions. Interwoven DevNet serves over 12,000 members of the Interwoven Developer Network.

Web Services play an increasingly important role in the ECM industry. As evolving business requirements place new emphasis on cross-functional and inter-departmental integration, developers are moving beyond the traditional model of self-contained ECM applications and are creating dynamic, highly efficient business solutions with independent Web Services.

Interwoven's broader extension of Web Services to the development community is further reinforcement of its Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA) ECM strategy. As embodied in Interwoven's current ECM platform, the SOA enables delivery of content-rich business applications as shared services, which can be invoked from composite applications, external packaged applications, third-party portal servers and business process automation systems.
