Leading Interactive Entertainment Software Company Extends Its Investment in Interwoven for Collaboration and Document Management
SUNNYVALE, Calif. - March 15, 2004 - Interwoven Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the world's next-generation enterprise content management (ECM) company, today announced that Electronic Arts (Nasdaq: ERTS) has chosen Interwoven WorkSite MP software for its corporate compliance initiative. Currently using Interwoven for Web content management, Electronic Arts (EA) has extended its investment in Interwoven's ECM solution by buying Interwoven's leading-edge collaboration and document management capabilities.
"EA was looking for an easy-to-use application that would fit well into our existing environment while meeting our business requirements around Sarbanes-Oxley and financial compliance," said Marc West, CIO, Electronic Arts. "Interwoven is important to this project, and we believe their solutions support our corporate IT processes."
EA's specific requirements were focused around implementing a secure, centralized repository for managing internal controls, business process information, and supporting documentation. Interwoven provided EA its compliance functionality in a solution that enables customers to establish the necessary internal controls and processes to comply with the growing volume of corporate governance regulations, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX).
"EA is a customer who found value with Interwoven in an initial implementation and continues to invest in our platform for additional initiatives. Our unique value includes both technical and domain expertise, and we were able to exceed the customer's requirements on all points to deliver an integrated ECM solution," said Kevin Hayden, vice president, corporate marketing for Interwoven. "By implementing Interwoven, we are not only enabling companies like EA to address immediate compliance directives but also helping them to streamline processes and increase efficiencies enterprise-wide."
