Interwoven VAR Program Empowers Resellers To Rapidly Deliver Affordable, Easy to Implement ECM Solutions to North American Market

New Program Targets Vertical Markets Such as Healthcare, Financial Services, State and Local Governments

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - December 23, 2002 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), a world leader in Enterprise Content Management (ECM), today announced that it is recruiting value-added resellers (VARs) to offer their expertise in selling and servicing content management solutions to a range of new markets throughout North America. With this new channel launch,Interwoven is expanding its partner program to include VARs that will reach mid-market organizations, enterprise departments and specific vertical industry customers requiring affordable content applications and solutions for their Internet-based requirements, based on the award-winning Interwoven 5 ECM platform.

The Interwoven VAR program is an opportunity for VARs to maximize revenues and overall profit margins within one of the industry’s top growth segments. Content management continues to be a strategic requirement in a weak economy as IDC expects the content management market to more than double from $3.4 billion today to $8.3 billion by 2006. The introduction of the Interwoven VAR program is helping North American VARs to capitalize on this trend with new services and support for the Interwoven 5 ECM platform, which includes TeamSite Content Management, MetaTagger Content Intelligence and OpenDeploy Content Distribution software. As the first ECM vendor to announce in October 2002 a complementary content management solution for IBM’s new mid-market portal offering, Interwoven is also recruiting VARs to sell and service Interwoven TeamPortal for IBM WebSphere Portal-Express software and IBM eServer.
