Prior to Interwoven ECM, Berger was using a proprietary content management system that was not meeting the needs of the company. In order to have a document posted to the site, a knowledge worker would write the content in an office application, recreate it in an HTML editor, and place that in a staging server. Once this was completed, a hard copy would be printed out so that the compliance group could review the document at which time they would send the revised version back to the knowledge worker so that it could then be downloaded with changes and finally uploaded to the production sever so that it could go on the site.

Using Interwoven ECM, Berger content contributors create 95% of their documents within TeamSite Templating software and use an automated workflow for the approval process. A process that used to take five days is now done in less than two days.
