Financial Services Executive Brings Strategic Technology and Management Experience to Interwoven

SUNNYVALE, Calif., - July 24, 2002 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leader in Enterprise Content Management, today announced the appointment of Frank Fanzilli to Interwoven's Board of Directors. Formerly the managing director and CIO of Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), Mr. Fanzilli will lend his thought leadership and expertise to drive the development and continued worldwide adoption of Interwoven's award-winning ECM solutions.

With CSFB for more than a decade, Mr. Fanzilli has held numerous executive positions such as chief information officer for Europe, head of global application development, and has served in his most recent position as managing director and CIO for nearly seven years. Prior to CSFB Mr. Fanzilli was in technical sales at IBM.

Mr. Fanzilli joins current Interwoven board members Martin Brauns, chairman of the board of Interwoven, Ronald Codd, president and CEO of Momentum Business Applications, Kathryn Gould, managing member of Foundation Capital, John Van Siclen, president and CEO of Interwoven, and Anthony Zingale, former president of Clarify eBusiness Applications, Nortel Networks.

Mr. Fanzilli holds a B.S. degree in Management from Fairfield University, Fairfield, Connecticut, and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University, New York, NY, where he was the Marcus Nadler Scholar. He also serves on the Boards of Directors of PeopleSoft, Inc. and Corechange, Inc.
