Interwoven's Proven Scalability and Tight Integration with mySAP Enterprise Portals Key to Meeting Global Collaboration Goals
SUNNYVALE, Calif., - July 23, 2002 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leader in Enterprise Content Management (ECM), today announced that BOC, a leading producer of industrial gases and related products, has selected Interwoven to underpin the content requirements for enterprise-wide portal strategies which range from internally focused employee portals to external portals for BOC's customers and business partners.
Interwoven ECM will integrate with mySAP Enterprise Portals from SAP to provide content creation, management, and distribution capabilities for both intranet content to be deployed via portals and for external content supporting eCommerce portals. It will be deployed rapidly to content contributors across BOC, initially focusing on the U.K., U.S.A., and Australia.
"The main factor in choosing Interwoven is that it gives us an enterprise content management solution that can support our global collaboration strategy, in that it enables us to share, contribute to, and distribute information across the group," explained Andy Fawcett, information management director for eServices at BOC. "Interwoven also provides distinct benefits for the users with all around product ease-of-use, publishing flexibility with version-control, and that it enables the complete management of our content assets from source code through to knowledge management."
The Interwoven 5 platform, which includes the products TeamSite software for content management and MetaTagger software for content intelligence, will be deployed initially in a pilot scheme to an estimated 50 content contributors. This will be followed by rapid rollout to marketing departments supporting eBusiness initiatives and corporate communications groups that maintain all enterprise content assets.
"Only Interwoven provides scalable and collaborative enterprise content management required to support global eBusiness initiatives," said Jan B. Nordhagen, Interwoven vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa. "We are proud to be supporting BOC's customer portal rollout and to provide the platform for managing critical business information via their employee portal solutions."
