TeamSite Implementation to be Rolled Out Across Four Sites Within Twelve Months
SUNNYVALE, Calif. - January 5, 2001 - Interwoven, Inc.(Nasdaq: IWOV), the leading provider of enterprise-class content management software, announced today that Condé Nast, is using Interwoven TeamSite software to develop its innovative lifestyle sites such as www.vogue.co.uk. Condé Nast intends to implement TeamSite across four sites, which include www.cntraveller.co.uk, www.gq-magazine.co.uk and www.bridesuk.net, within the next twelve months.
Condé Nast provides a range of lifestyle sites that offer information, advice and guidance on travel, fashion, style and beauty. All sites are content rich and draw on the expertise of Condé Nast's flagship publications such as Vogue, Condé Nast Traveller and GQ.
"As Condé Nast's online presence is primarily content-driven we need to ensure that lifestyle information is up-to-date, accurate and attractive to the sophisticated Condé Nast consumer," commented Andrew Rippon, technical director, Condé Nast On-Line. "TeamSite allows us to ensure that accurate and consistent content is posted on the sites quickly and easily essential if we are to ensure business advantage and fulfil customer demands."
TeamSite was chosen primarily for its seamless integration with Condé Nast's existing technologies and platforms, such as Microsoft Site Server, Microsoft SQL servers, Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP), Flash, and Dynamic HTML as well as the rapid implementation path offered by Interwoven. Ease-of-use and the ability to scale to the wireless channel were also important considerations for Condé Nast.
The Interwoven TeamSite solution is initially enabling fifteen content contributors - including journalists, marketing and technical staff - to write, review and finally place content on the sites quickly and accurately. To ensure that the Condé Nast sites remain up-to-date and relevant to users, TeamSite will be used to update content on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
"For publishing houses such as Condé Nast the web is an increasingly important channel," according to David Ogidi, UK managing director for Interwoven. "Effective content management is essential to ensure that the reputation for high-quality and accurate lifestyle information is transferred to the Internet."
