Interwoven's software will empower suppliers to create and manage cXML content for the Ariba Commerce Services Network; Interwoven to collaborate with Ariba on the continued development of Commerce XML (cXML)
SUNNYVALE, Calif- December 14, 2000 Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV),
the leading provider of enterprise-class content management software, today
announced that Interwoven and Ariba (Nasdaq: ARBA) have teamed to offer supplier
enablement through the integration of Interwoven's content management platform
with Ariba B2B solutions. Interwoven's software will empower suppliers to create
and manage cXML content to be used by companies and eMarkets on the Ariba®
B2B Commerce Platform TM using the Ariba®
Commerce Services Network TM (Ariba CSN). Also,
Interwoven has joined the Ariba supplier enablement initiative, designed to
enable end-to-end communication and collaboration between corporate buyers,
B2B marketplaces and suppliers on the Internet.

Interwoven also announced today that it will collaborate with Ariba on the continued development of Commerce XML (cXML), an open Internet standard for exchanging supplier content and transaction information between buyers, suppliers and B2B marketplaces. Interwoven will use cXML to integrate its enterprise-class content management solutions within the Ariba framework.

Interwoven's flagship product TeamSite is used across multiple Web initiatives including supplier enablement for Ariba-powered marketplaces. TeamSite software provides distributed authoring, versioning and workflow for all content including commerce content. Because of Interwoven's easy to use interface and XML-based Templating, content contribution by suppliers can be done without technical training, thus accelerating time to B2B transaction.
