SUNNYVALE, Calif. - October 17, 2000 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the
leading provider of enterprise-class content management software, today announced
that it has been chosen by Hewlett-Packard Company as a preferred content management
solution partner. As part of this relationship, Interwoven's newly released
TeamSite 4.5 content management suite, which includes the TeamSite, TeamSite

server platform. Support for HP-UX is an extension of TeamSite's existing support
for the Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Sun Solaris operating environments.
"Enterprise-class content management is essential to the growth of e-business
initiatives," said Nigel Ball, vice president and general manager, HP E-Services
Partner Division. "We are pleased that Interwoven will deliver TeamSite on the
HP-UX platform to provide our mutual customers with an easy-to-use solution
that promotes content contribution throughout the extended enterprise."

HP-UX servers can benefit from the robust content management functionality TeamSite
