Industry Leading Enterprise Web Production System Now
Gives Knowledge Workers the Power to Become Web Contributors
Sunnyvale,
Calif., February 8, 1999 -- Interwoven, Inc., the leading provider of systems for Enterprise Web Production (EWP), will preview the latest version of its innovative TeamSite system today onstage at the Demo '99 conference in Indian Wells, Calif. TeamSite 3.0, with its new SmartContext Editing feature, makes it simple for everyone in the enterprise - with little or no training - to put their knowledge on the Web. Martin Brauns, Interwoven's president and CEO, will conduct the first public demonstration of TeamSite 3.0 and SmartContext Editing.
"I'm very pleased that Interwoven has chosen to debut TeamSite 3.0 at Demo '99," said Chris Shipley, executive producer of The Demo Conferences. "The product's new SmartContext Editing feature brings unprecedented power and flexibility to corporate Web sites - now every knowledge worker in an organization can become a Web contributor. The implications for the Web-enabled enterprise are enormous."
Demo is one of the most prestigious technology gatherings of the year. Conference invitees include a select audience of key decision-makers from leading technology firms, innovative start-ups, Fortune 500 companies, blue chip venture capital firms and financial institutions, as well as leading business and technology media. Onstage presentations, such as the one conducted by Interwoven, are awarded to only a fraction of the companies invited to exhibit at the conference.
"We're extremely proud to be unveiling TeamSite 3.0 before such a high-level audience," said Interwoven's president and CEO Martin Brauns. "This is a terrific opportunity for us to demonstrate our ongoing leadership of the EWP market that we pioneered. TeamSite 3.0, with its SmartContext Editing, takes Enterprise Web Production to a whole new level - now Web leaders can empower large numbers of Web contributors and at the same time, control the entire Web operation."
TeamSite 3.0 incorporates all of the advanced features of previous TeamSite versions, while providing the capability to support a much broader base of Web contributors. SmartContext Editing allows any knowledge worker who can navigate a Web site to contribute content. The customizable interface is so simple that it does not require special training. With SmartContext Editing, users can intuitively determine which pages and individual elements they are allowed to edit, easily make and view changes, and quickly submit their finished product for approval.
